Class of 2024 Spotlight Series: Graduates Reflect on NDMU Experience

  Student-athletes excelling for their teams and in the classroom. A new mother successfully navigating both pharmacy school and parenthood. A business major working two jobs to help support herself through college. Every member of NDMU's Class of 2024 took a different path on their journey to this year's Commencement Ceremony. Learn more about eight standout students from the Schools of Arts, Sciences and Business, Education, Nursing, and Pharmacy, as they reflect on their path to Notre Dame, share top memories from their time on campus, and discuss their future career plans. School of Nursing Holds Pinning Ceremony for BSN Class of 2024

2024 BSN graduates The School of Nursing's traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Class of 2024 was celebrated during a pinning ceremony in Marikle Chapel last Thursday! The event included the presentation of this year's student award winners, along with the traditional Blessing of the Hands. Congratulations to all of this spring’s nursing graduates.   Photo Gallery

NDMU Celebrates 2024 Partners in Mission Honorees

Partners in Mission honorees NDMU's Partners in Mission ceremony, an annual event which recognizes faculty and staff members celebrating service anniversaries, was held in Marikle Chapel and Doyle Formal on Thursday, May 16. Student/Faculty/Staff Updates

School of Arts, Sciences and Business

Dr. Jeana DelRosso, Department of English, presented via Zoom a paper titled, “'The Voice Always Did Have a Biblical Way with It': The Voice of God in Naomi Alderman’s The Power," at the annual conference of the Science Fiction Research Association, which was held at University of Tartu in Estonia earlier this month.

Dr. Nicole Dular, assistant professor in the Philosophy Department, had her original research paper, “Moral Rackets,” accepted for presentation at the Canadian Society for Women in Philosophy’s, and the Canadian Society for Trans Philosophy’s conference “Trans/Feminist Philosophy: Pasts, Presents, Futures” at the University of Guelph in August. Dr. Dular was also selected to attend the conference “Epistemology of Expertise: New Directions” at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill as a commentator on Jennifer Lackey’s research titled “Talking, Listening, and Learning: The Epistemic Value of Secondhandedness” in August. Her paper of original research, “Moral Distortions as Ideological Control,” has additionally been accepted for presentation at the Philadelphia Normative Philosophy Conference, which will be held at the University of Pennsylvania in October.

School of Pharmacy

SOP Class of 2024 Members of the School of Pharmacy's graduating Class of 2024 had the opportunity to take celebratory photos in the historic Caroline Hall tower earlier this month! Students then gathered in front of Noyes House for the traditional class photo. Photo Gallery

Library Updates

LND Library New library search tool, OneSearch, coming this Thursday, May 23!  This Thursday, May 23, 2024, the Loyola Notre Dame Library along with the 16 other libraries across the University System of Maryland and Affiliated Institutions (USMAI) will be implementing a new integrated library system, which includes a new and improved search tool, OneSearch!
