Group Counseling

A variety of groups are offered each year. If you have an interest in a particular kind of group please email us. Contact us for more information at CounselCtr@ndm.edu.

There are a variety of off campus groups available, some at no cost and others will bill insurance.  For more information, please request an appointment with a counselor.  Counselors can also provide additional resources to meet your specific needs.

TurnAround

TurnAround provides comprehensive services to victims, survivors and their supporters of power-based violence, including sexual assault and intimate partner violence.  They have a variety of support groups.  They have offices in Towson and Baltimore. Call the main office for more information – 410-377-8111.  Services are free of charge.

Stella Maris

Stella Maris offers grief support groups as well as dementia family support groups; see website for more information and to register.

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness)

NAMI offers free, peer-led support groups and has both in person and virtual options currently. NAMI currently has a Young Adult Connection Support Group which is a peer-led group specifically for adults ages 18 – 39 who are living with a mental health condition or are seeking mental health support.

Survivors of Suicide

Survivors of Suicide is a survivor-facilitated support group for anyone who has lost a loved one to suicide.  Meetings are virtual.  Before attending SOS Baltimore, please contact by email at sos@sosbaltimore.org.

Depression/Bipolar Alliance

Depression/Bipolar Alliance offers free, online, peer led support groups.  There are general groups as well as groups for specialized populations (see website).

Substance Abuse – meetings are both in person and online.
