Nominations for Elected Positions for Fall 2026 – Spring 2027
Student Government Association (SGA) serves as the unified voice of the undergraduate student body to encourage and facilitate campus wide communication and student engagement. In recognition of its responsibility to the students at Notre Dame of Maryland University, SGA strives to improve the quality of the student experience with a holistic approach regarding all aspects of student needs, addressing student concerns, and providing fiscal support to student organizations for programming and encouraging leadership development beyond the classroom.
Class Councils serve on the SGA council with the goal of fostering school spirit and involvement while improving student success and the quality of life for the undergraduate students of NDMU. The Class Council Boards serve as the overarching link between the students and their designated graduation year and create tradition for their class.
Campus Activities Board (CAB) is a student-run organization that strives to enhance the NDMU student experience through quality entertainment, creative programming, and community involvement. Our goal is to strengthen the missions of the Office of Student Engagement & Community Programs, Division of Student Life and NDMU by providing a variety of social, recreational, cultural, and educational programs.

Class Council Positions (Senior, Junior, Sophomore)
The President of the Campus Activities Board (CAB) is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of campus events, ensuring they align with student interests and the organization’s mission. They lead board meetings, delegate tasks to members, and collaborate with faculty, staff, and external vendors to create engaging programs. Additionally, the President manages the board’s budget, promotes events, and fosters a sense of community among students. Their role also includes problem-solving, maintaining organization within the board, and advocating for student involvement in campus life.
The Vice President of the Campus Activities Board (CAB) plays a key leadership role by assisting in planning and executing campus events, ensuring they run smoothly and successfully. They attend all meetings to contribute ideas, support decision-making, and collaborate with other board members to enhance student engagement. Additionally, they help organize and manage events, offering hands-on support to bring creative ideas to life. As a role model, the Vice President upholds CAB’s mission, inspires fellow students, and fosters a positive and inclusive campus environment.
As PR officer, the main responsibility is to promote CAB events and ensure that students stay engaged and informed. This involves managing the creation of marketing materials, such as flyers and digital content, and collaborating closely with the team to develop communication strategies that resonate with the student body. PR officer also engages directly with students to gather feedback on past events and suggestions for future activities, ensuring that CAB offerings align with student interests and preferences. PR officer is also tasked with connecting with other campus organizations to learn about their strategies and explore potential collaborations.
as CAB Social Media Manager (SMM), you are responsible for Developing and managing social media strategies across platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok to boost campus awareness and engage the student community. You will create high-quality content such as graphics, videos, and posts to keep students informed about events and initiatives for CAB. You will analyze performance metrics to improve content and strategy while responding promptly and professionally to comments and messages. You will work closely with student leaders, campus departments, and external partners to maintain consistent branding and messaging. You will stay updated on social media trends, manage event promotions through flyers and posts, and build strong relationships with student organizations and professional offices.
CAB Treasurer, is responsible for managing funds for campus events and activities, keeping track of spending and presenting updates and lastly ensure purchases align with the board’s mission.
