Clubs & Organizations

There’s more to college life than work and study. In fact, the most involved students are often the happiest students.

There are many clubs, organizations, honor societies and more for you to join whether you live on campus or off campus.

• Develop leadership skills
• Supplement career preparation
• Explore new interests
• Meet new people
• Have a lot of fun!

If you would like to start a new organization that would enhance the student experience and campus vibrancy you can follow the instructions below. E-mail studentengagement@ndm.edu if you have any questions.

Before you put any plans in place check above to make sure a similar student organization does not already exist.

To start a new club, you will need:

• At least 5 club members that are current NDMU students President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Public Relations.
• A mission statement & goals based on your club’s interest. Mission Statement Example: The Student-Parent Group is a community of students who are also parents. Their aim is to build and sustain a community of students, faculty, staff, and administrators who support and advocate for student-parents in their endeavors to meet the challenges of successfully completing their studies, caring for their families, and maintaining their own physical and mental health.
• A full time-faculty, staff or administrator who will be your advisor When you have the above information completed, you can fill out this form. The Office of Student Engagement and Community Programs will review applications and confirm with the students if the club is approved or denied.

All events need to be submitted by NOON on Thursday PRIOR to 7-Day going out Monday.

Events need to be submitted to studentengagement@ndm.edu with subject line: 7-day Forecast Event Submission

Events should be Submitted in the following format:

• Title of event
• Location of event (If virtual just state virtual and include the link)
• Date and Time of event (if it is more than an hour or less than an hour please specify otherwise, we will default to a one-hour period)
• Brief description of the event please be mindful that the limit on Constant Contact is 140characters so if your version is longer than that we will have to paraphrase
• Any web links also need to be included here
• All events need to be student life oriented. Events pertaining to academics, specific schools or events for personal promotion will not be published.

*Please understand that typos happen, we cannot edit or resend the 7-Day Forecast once it is out. Please do your best to ensure all information is correct before submitting and we will do our best to avoid errors
