NDMU Celebrates $4M Transformation of Historic Fourier Hall into 21st Century Learning Hub
A $4 million renovation has transformed Fourier Hall, one of Notre Dame of Maryland University’s historic academic buildings, into a modern learning environment designed to support hands-on education in business, art therapy and art.
NDMU President Abagail Van Vlerah joined Maryland Independent College and University Association (MICUA) President Matthew Power, Baltimore City Councilman Mark Conway (District 4), and NDMU President Emerita Marylou Yam to celebrate the renovation with a ribbon cutting ceremony today.

Over 230 students packed 400 lunches that will benefit area organizations serving veterans and the unhoused today in honor of September 11th.
On a day that was once filled with tragedy, we are thankful to be able to come together to remember the events from the past, celebrate the community we share and use our time to pack lunches for our neighbors.
Huge thanks to our donors 911day, AmeriCorps, Transform MidAtlantic, and the Alliance for Campus Community Engagement. We are thankful that you use our students as the means to respond to needs in our community. We are also grateful to Delegate Regina Boyce and NDMU President Van Vlerah who packed lunches and inspired our students as they spoke about the importance of service.

Biology Department Assistant Professor approved for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who in America, 2026–2027 Edition
Dr. Anthony Uchenna Emeribe, Assistant Professor at Notre Dame of Maryland University, has been approved for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who in America, 2026–2027 Edition. The recognition highlights his contributions to public health, health equity, research, medical laboratory science, and health education. Dr. Emeribe is grateful to NDMU colleagues and students for their support and for the opportunity to advance interdisciplinary health research, education, and community-centered solutions.
