Alumna Named Maryland’s Top Elementary Math Teacher
When Chelsea McDonald M’15 was named the 2025 Elementary School Outstanding Mathematics Educator, it confirmed what her mother had always believed—that she was born to teach.
A proud alumna of the master’s in leadership in special education program at Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU), McDonald has been a teacher in Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) for 11 years. She is the first educator from the district since 2020 to receive this honor from the Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

School of Education Dean and Colleagues Attend Large Teacher Conference in Shanghai, China
Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU) made a significant splash in China as representatives from the School of Education and Enrollment Department attended the Teacher Conference International in Shanghai. Dean Juliann Dupuis, Associate Dean Lisa Pallett, and Associate Vice President for Enrollment Wilbert Lleses showcased the University's Master of Arts Graduate Education Internship (GEI) program to 230 educators from across China.

A huge thank you to the Cockeysville Grocery Outlet and Wegman's for their generous donations towards Caroline's Cupboard. Additionally, the Cockeysville Grocery Outlet will continue to run their Independence From Hunger drive through July 31, so please stop in.
Caroline's Cupboard is in need of these unopened non-perishable items:

Do it for the plot and celebrate the start of a new school year with games, prizes, crafts, and more at the Loyola Notre Dame Library! Raising Cane’s chicken and fries, drinks, snacks, and desserts will be provided. RSVP encouraged but not required.
