Biography

Dr. Erica Jones serves as an Assistant Professor and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the Occupational Therapy Department within the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions. Dr. Jones is a board-certified and licensed occupational therapist in the state of Maryland, as well as a certified lymphedema therapist (CLT) and a certified lymphedema and wound care therapist (CLWT). With over 15 years of clinical experience in various settings, Dr. Jones brings a diverse clinical perspective and a strong commitment to connecting evidence-based practice with occupational therapy education.

Dr. Jones has presented at the Maryland Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA) Conference sharing her knowledge and passion for lymphedema self-care management for women with breast cancer-related lymphedema. She has served as MOTA’s Vice President of Events and Conferences from 2022-2025. She currently maintains membership in the Maryland Occupational Therapy Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Dr. Jones began her journey in academia as associate faculty in June 2025 and transitioned to her current position July 2026. She is committed to her students’ success as they begin their careers as occupational therapists. Dr. Jones is currently completing her PhD at Notre Dame of Maryland University.
