Research

Interests

  • Professional Development Schools: I have conducted numerous studies on best practices for multilingual learner support at professional development schools. These include technology and STEM integration, apprenticeship programs, teacher coaching, and the effectiveness of various state grant initiatives.
  • ​​​​​​​Systemic Functional Linguistics: I have conducted research into the writing differences of multilingual learners who have had much of the education in the United States versus international students and monolingual English students.
