All full time undergraduate students are required to reside on campus in the residence halls during their freshmen and sophomore year as specified in their financial aid award letter.
A student may submit a housing exemption request to the on campus residence requirement for the reasons below:
- Student resides within 25 miles of NDMU’s campus with their parent(s) or guardian
- Student is twenty one years of age or older
- Student Is married and/or has dependent children
- Student is a military veteran
- Student has a documented medical condition or disability that requires special living arrangements that residential life cannot reasonably provide within the residential living environment
- Student has other extenuating circumstances.
**This housing exemption request is just a request, and a decision will be emailed from Housing and Residence Life.
