NDMU Professor's Photos on Exhibit

Geoff Delanoy, Professor and Chair of Art, has photographs on view in the exhibition Vanishing Landscapes at Dorchester Center for the Arts in Cambridge, MD. The works are part of his ongoing series Ghost Forest, which explores coastal dieback resulting from the impacts of climate change.

Student and Professor Travel to North Carolina to Present Their Work

Dr. Jeana DelRosso and MA in English Literature student, Grace Chubb, presented original research at the Society for Utopian Studies 50th Anniversary Conference in North Carolina in November. Chubb presented a paper entitled, "Fighting Against the Current(s): New Baptisms, Old Rituals in Naomi Alderman's The Power." Dr. DelRosso chaired Chubb's session as well as presented a paper entitled, "'The voice always did have a Biblical way with it': Utopia and Religion in Naomi Alderman’s The Power."

Assistant Professor Travels to Oklahoma to Present "Teachers' Knowledge of Morphology:..."

Dr. Joanna Newton, assistant professor in the School of Education, presented at the Association of Literacy Educators and Researchers Annual Conference in Oklahoma City. In her presentation titled, “Teachers’ Knowledge of Morphology: A Thirty (One) Year Review of Research Evidence (1994-2005)” she shared findings from a comprehensive literature review that examined preservice and in-service teachers’ knowledge of morphology and morphology instruction. The review provided a historical overview, explored trends in research from 2015-2025, and considered dissertation studies from 2020-2025 to illuminate emergent scholarship. She discussed implications of this body of research for teacher educators and researchers interested in furthering morphology instruction in K-12 settings.
