Nursing programs at NDMU provide hands-on experience using high-tech mannequins that breathe, blink and even talk using microphones controlled by faculty members watching from the control room. "It gives us the time to get all your nerves out and go through the steps we're taught. There are certain protocols to do certain things and when you get in front of a real patient in the hospital, sometimes you get nervous and forget things," Clark said.

One of the things I’ve enjoyed most about Notre Dame is that when you are put in a class that you would normally run away from, this school is uniquely designed to help you through it. When you take a class like data analysis or something mathematically driven, and you go to Notre Dame, you can guarantee that you are not going to fail because your teachers are going to support you through it, your fellow students are going to support you through it, and you’re going to come out on top every time.

NDMU has helped me gain confidence in myself as an educator. Before entering the MATESOL program, I wasn’t sure if I was outgoing enough to be an educator. However, after gaining more knowledge in ESOL, I feel like this is exactly what I was meant to do.
