As an undergraduate student studying abroad for a semester or an academic year, you may apply all of your federal and state financial aid to Notre Dame-sponsored programs. While you are abroad, you will pay Notre Dame tuition, room, and board. You may be responsible for additional program costs. Check with the Financial Aid Office to verify your eligibility before you apply to study abroad.
You may also apply for both internal and external scholarship programs for both short- and long-term study abroad opportunities. Consult the Director for International Education about available funding opportunities.
The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship is a grant program that enables undergraduate students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad. Contact the Director for International Education for questions and assistance with the application process.
