The Prison Art Program exhibition features artwork made in workshops held at the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women in Jessup, MD (MCIW). Led and curated by Casey McKeel, the exhibition is a follow-up to last year’s exhibit, “Life on Hold”, which was the start of the program that has now continued for a second year.

The exhibition, which will be on display from January 22 - March 1, includes all the artwork created during a series of six workshops and is a visual expression of the hope, strength, transformation, and dreams of individuals impacted by incarceration. The workshops were run in an open studio format with local artists and art therapy instructors co-facilitating, with volunteer support from NDMU students.

NDMU Drama invites students, faculty, staff, and alums to auditions and tech interviews for our Spring Musical Production of Little Shop of Horrors. No experience is needed! All skill levels are welcome.

One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows, this charmingly tongue-in-cheek comedy follows meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn as he stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down-and-out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it…BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!

Notre Dame Alumna Earns Judicial Appointment to Maryland’s District Court

BALTIMORE – Jennifer Alexander ’98 was a junior at Notre Dame of Maryland University when she first realized that she wanted to attend law school. That initial interest led to an accomplished 20+ years working as an attorney for the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office and multiple private practices.

Alexander’s hard work was rewarded in November, when Governor Wes Moore appointed her to the District Court of Maryland for Anne Arundel County. She was officially sworn in as a judge during a December ceremony in Annapolis.

ABSN Graduate Spotlight: Lydia Evans

BALTIMORE – Lydia Evans had her sights set on becoming a physician’s assistant during her time as an undergraduate. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology with a pre-med focus from Virginia Union University in Richmond, and was quickly accepted into a PA program after graduation.
