Top Student Thrives in Presidential Leadership Program

(BALTIMORE, Md.) – Jolisse Gray '23 has always been driven by service, and she found a way to marry it with her love for politics this summer. The rising junior at Notre Dame of Maryland University gained new mentors and honed her leadership skills in the Leadership + American Presidency academic internship program through The Fund for American Studies (TFAS) to launch a future career as a foreign service officer.

Let’s come together as a community to spruce up the campus before new and returning students arrive for the fall semester, starting with orientation and move-in day on Wednesday, Aug. 25. Each of us can do our part in making the campus look its best.

How can I help?
You can sign up for a two-hour shift to participate in a group volunteer project or take a couple of hours to clean up your individual workspace and common areas, including shared conference rooms, storage space, and adjoining hallways. In choosing either option, you can complete the online form to register your participation. Sign-up to participate.

I want to participate, but I do not have a two-hour window available on Friday, Aug 20. Do I have to skip Campus Clean-up Day?
Even if you cannot dedicate two hours to Campus Clean-up Day, you can spend at least a few minutes tidying up your workspace and common areas. Every bit of effort makes a big difference in taking pride in our beautiful campus.
