All incoming first-year students received an electronic invitation to complete the Noel Levitz College Student Inventory (CSI) as part of Title III grant efforts. The CSI is a nationally recognized readiness assessment for incoming students. We hope you have completed the assessment and are now prepared to take action on your CSI Student Report and recommended next steps.

Each year, a book is selected for all students, faculty, and staff to read that relates to the University’s mission and our commitment to promoting social responsibility. Themes from the selection are integrated into coursework throughout the year and the author is invited to take part in a campus discussion.

The Associate Dean for Inclusion and Community Standards will provide an overview of what it means to be a community member and a brief review of the Student Handbook, Honor Code and Student Code of Conduct. Honor Board Members and students on the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council will discuss their roles and upcoming programs.

The Director of Student Engagement & Community Programs will go over the various ways to get involved on campus.

Cap and Gown Investiture is the official welcome for all new incoming students in the Women’s College. Similar to graduation being the end of the University experience, this event marks the beginning of your time at NDMU. *Business casual and academic regalia (cap & gown) are required for this event.
