(BALTIMORE, Md.) – The Henry Luce Foundation awarded Notre Dame of Maryland University $172,500 to support two full-tuition scholarships for women undergraduates in STEM for the next two years.

Dr. Riekers graduated from the (former) Essex Community College Physician Assistant Program in 1998. After that, she began her clinical practice as a Physician Assistant in gynecologic oncology, later becoming the lead PA for the medical hospitalist service at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Dr. Riekers led twelve PA colleagues caring for inpatient medical and surgical patients.
