Grace McCarthy Lindstrom’s love of Catholic education started at Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Kensington, MD, where she attended K-8. It was during her time there that she was first inspired by the dedication and kindness of her teachers, and felt her first call to teach. From there she went on to graduate from two more Catholic institutions: Academy of the Holy Cross and Saint Mary’s College. Upon completing her undergraduate degree in elementary education, she pursued the call to teach by pursuing a graduate degree through Operation TEACH and earned her Masters in Leadership in Teaching at Notre Dame of Maryland University. Through her experience with the program Grace felt further inspired to continue serving the Catholic community of Baltimore and, after teaching for several years at St. Augustine School in Elkridge, MD, she answered a new call to serve as the director of Operation TEACH. Grace now works closely with the current cohorts of TEACHers, where she strives to develop strong relationships with her students and peers that are rooted in faith and service.
