The OIP is a resource for all students at NDMU and serves the campus in the following capacities:

  • advises students on study abroad opportunities and the application process 
  • coordinates all international exchange partnership programs
  • houses NDMU's vibrant English Language Institute 
  • issues F-1 visa-related documents to international students
  • assists international students with matters related to their visa status, employment in the United States, social security numbers, taxation, and travel regulations
  • provides pre-departure orientation for study abroad students and international student orientation upon arrival
  • helps international students with cultural adjustment and academic concerns
