The below information is designed to inform incoming students on what steps to take to ensure housing for your upcoming academic year. At NDMU housing is offered to all students who are enrolled in classes full time. Full time for an undergraduate students is 12 credits a semester and full time for graduate/professional student is 9 credits a semester.
First Year & Transfer Traditional Undergraduate Students
First-year and transfer students will need to take 3 steps to ensure their housing is secured for the Fall 2025 semester.
- Be sure your application is marked accurately. Your intention form through the Admissions Office serves as your official Housing Application. All students with fewer than 60 credits will be automatically assigned a room. If you do not wish to live on campus explore our Housing Exemption Policy and Request HOUSING EXEMPTION DETAILS
- Sign the Housing Contract: [LINKED HERE] By: Move In Day, August 22, 2025
- Complete the Incoming Student Roommate Preferences Suvey: [LINKED HERE]. By: July 25th, 2025
Students will receive an email to their NDMU email by August 4th, 2025 with their room and roommate assignment.
Graduate & Professional Students
Students who are not recipients of a graduate or professional program housing scholarship should complete this form to apply for housing. Within two weeks of submitting the form, you will receive a follow-up from the Office of Housing and Residence Life with your next steps.
If you are a recipient of a graduate or professional program housing scholarship, you will be automatically assigned a room. Please note that these scholarships are awarded through your academic program, not through the Office of Housing and Residence Life.
