BALTIMORE – A publication celebrating the public launch of Notre Dame of Maryland University’s $45 million Go Beyond campaign won a top international award recognizing excellence in marketing and communications.
The 2021-22 issue of Universitas, NDMU’s annual publication celebrating the University’s accomplishments and donors, was announced as a MarCom Platinum Award winner – the highest possible award in the competition – in the annual report category. MarCom Awards recognize outstanding achievement by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design, and production of marketing and communication materials and programs.
In addition to featuring the Go Beyond campaign, the magazine highlighted Notre Dame’s impact in STEM and healthcare innovation, celebrated alumni who are now leaders in their fields, and spotlighted top accomplishments from NDMU students and faculty throughout the academic year. The University Marketing and University Communications teams work to produce Universitas each year to distribute to the NDMU campus community, alumni, donors, and friends.
“All of the stories in this latest issue of Universitas demonstrated the power of our collective efforts to educate leaders to transform the world,” said Dr. Marylou Yam, president of Notre Dame of Maryland University. “It is wonderful that all of the Notre Dame staff members who created this publication are recognized for their outstanding work with this international award.”
MarCom Award winners are selected from over 300 categories in print, web, video, and strategic communications. This year’s competition included over 6,500 entries from the United States, Canada, and 43 other countries. MarCom is sponsored and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), an international organization consisting of several thousand creative professionals.
Established in 1895, Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU) is a private, Catholic institution in Baltimore, Maryland, with the mission to educate leaders to transform the world. Notre Dame has been named one of the best "Regional Universities North" by U.S. News & World Report.
