BALTIMORE – Notre Dame of Maryland University’s Drama department will present its fall production of “Tin Cat Shoes” this weekend in LeClerc Theatre, with the first of four shows scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Shows will also take place at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. The 7:30 p.m. Saturday night session will feature a special visit from playwright Trish Harnetiaux, who will hold a talkback session with audience members following the performance.
“We are so excited to share this show with our audiences,” said Dr. Kate Bossert, associate professor of English and coordinator of the Drama department. “Our ensemble cast features two first-year students, two seniors, and one alum, and they have collaborated so effectively under Chris Cotterman’s direction. We’re also thrilled to have had the opportunity for playwright Trish Harnetiaux to participate in our rehearsal process and talk with us about her storytelling.”
Directed by Chris Cotterman, this hilarious dark comedy follows a group of eccentric and fiercely loyal shoe store employees who embark on a fateful hiking expedition in the Pacific Northwest. There’s a bear! And a mountainside casino! And… nachos! Tin Cat Shoes is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.
Tickets are $5 for all students, and $15 for general admission. They can be purchased in advance on NDMU’s website. The full cast list and production team for “Tin Cat Shoes” is available below:
