This year’s Women’s History Month programming at NDMU reflects the University’s mission to promote the advancement of women and educate leaders to transform the world. As the first Catholic college in the U.S. to award women a four-year degree, NDMU has a history of innovation in educating students in the Catholic tradition for more than 125 years in Baltimore. Today, offering career-focused undergraduate and graduate programs for adult women and men, NDMU continues to break ground in education, while inspiring students to make a difference in the world.

The Best You: Pursuit Towards Self-Discovery: Dr. Yettieve Marquez-Santana

This three-part series, hosted by the Office of Inclusion & Community Standards, celebrates successful women in sharing their HERstory and how they create brave spaces for diverse populations. Dr. Yettieve Marquez-Santana is the inclusion and diversity director for the Association of College and University Housing Officers–International.
Raising Boys to Be Good Men: Dr. Karsonya “Kaye” Whitehead

Hosted by the Women’s Leadership Institute of Baltimore, renowned educator, author, and activist Dr. Karsonya “Kaye” Wise Whitehead, founder and director of the Karson Institute for Race, Peace, and Social Justice at Loyola University Maryland, joins WJZ Anchor Denise Koch to discuss dismantling toxic masculinity and setting boys up for healthy relationships with themselves and others.
Inaugural President’s Leadership Forum: Kenneth R. Banks
