Dr. Davis is passionate about the role that philosophy and education can have in both social justice movements and in the personal fulfillment of individuals. She has focused her efforts on making philosophy and ethical inquiry more accessible and relevant to those not traditionally served by schooling or academia by participating in philosophy for children, philosophy in K-12 schools, ethics bowl at the high school and intercollegiate level, and philosophy pedagogy research/development. Her dissertation was titled "On the Possibility of Philosophy in Schools: Rancière and Community of Philosophical Inquiry." She serves as committee member for the American Association of Philosophy Teachers, the Philosophy of Education Society, and the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics.
