Research Interests

  • Drug Pharmacokinetics: Development new methods of analysis for determination of drugs either in pharmaceutical dosage forms or biological fluids using different separation techniques such as Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), HPLC, UPLC and HPTLC couples with different detectors such as PDA, fluorescence and mass spectrometry.
  • Lipidomics and Metabolomics: Develop mass spectrometry-based platforms that couple biomarker discovery to quantitative validation via the use of chromatography, ion mobility, and mass spectrometry to structurally elucidate and quantify biologically active lipids to further understand disease/injury mechanism of action and provide novel insight for drug development targets.
  • Bioanalysis in Clinical Research: Bioanalysis is the sub-discipline of analytical chemistry that deals with the qualitative & quantitative measurement of small molecules such as drugs, metabolites and, endogenous substances in complex biological samples. Optimization of sample preparation techniques using solid phase extraction and hyphenated chromatographic & electrophoretic techniques is carried out.
  • Oligonucleotides: Characterization and analysis of synthetic oligonucleotides, with an emphasis on utilizing advanced chromatographic and mass spectrometric techniques.
