At A Child’s Place, we believe a sense of community between teachers and parents plays a veritable role in the child’s success! By using the Maryland Early Learning Standards as the foundation for our curriculum, we ensure that both the parents and the child are equally involved in the learning process and that all learning is carried over between the child’s two primary environments, the home and school.

Experiences at ACP promote the child’s development in the following domains:

  • Language and Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Social Studies
  • Science
  • The Arts
  • Social Foundations
  • Physical Well-Being and Motor Development

Play-based learning is an excellent forum in which children learn their most basic, foundational skills. Here at ACP, it is the foremost organizing framework utilized for children to investigate their surroundings and build their knowledge base.
