Jubilarian Luncheon
12 PM – 2:15 PM | Doyle Formal
An annual tradition brings alumni together to celebrate their 50th reunion and beyond. The brunch will open at noon, with remarks and pinning to follow. We will receive a University update from President Yam and recognize the Class of 1974, our new Jubilarian class, as they receive their pins. After the luncheon, a group photo of all the Jubilarian classes will be taken. Any alumni celebrating their 50th+ year and their guests are welcome.
Early Bird Cost: Free for members of the Class of 1974; $35 for all guests and other Jubilarian classes
Regular Cost: Free for members of the Class of 1974; $40 for all guests and other Jubilarian classes

Jo Trueschler '49 Great Books Revival

Join us for the revival of Great Books, a book club established by our beloved former Notre Dame faculty member, Jo Trueschler '49. Jo Trueschler ’78 will announce an endowment initiated in her aunt’s name and Marianna Merrill Russell ’94 will provide a historical perspective on Jo’s book club.

What Storm, What Thunder by Myriam J.A. Chancy, the Maryland Humanities One Book selection for 2024, has been chosen for this year's book. Edith McParland Donohue ’60, Ph.D. will lead a stimulation discussion on the history and stories of the 2010 Haiti earthquake. You are welcome to attend if you have or have not read the book. Participants are to provide their copy of the book

Art Therapy in Maryland: NDMU's Unique Training Role

Learn about this specialized mental healthcare field and its specific practice within Maryland. Hear about our newly accredited art therapist training here at NDMU, and learn how our highly skilled, licensed practitioner alumni have found immediate work across the region, doing their part to address the national mental health crisis. This session will be led by Professor Cathy Goucher '94, the founding director and department chair of the BA and MA in Art Therapy programs at NDMU. Goucher has been a Maryland art therapist for the past 28 years, working primarily in special education and disability settings. She is also a co-founder and associate director of the Make Studio Art Program, Inc in Baltimore, supporting adult artists with disabilities.

All Classes Cocktail Reception with Alumni Awards and Hall of Fame Dinner

Celebrate your fellow alumni at this long-standing traditional event! Mingle with classmates and reminisce about your time at Notre Dame over beer, wine, and heavy hors d'oeuvres before the awards celebration. We will honor the 2024 Alumni Awards winners and Athletics Hall of Fame inductees during dinner, followed by the announcement of class winners who will get a circle on campus named for their class. All classes are welcome and encouraged to attend this celebration of our outstanding alumni! Children under 10 years old are free to enter.

Come by to get your photo taken with your classmates! Every class year that ends in a 4 or 9 will receive a time slot specific to their class, but you are welcome to stop by with your class at any point from 11:15 AM - 1 PM. Gator Block Party

Get ready for a party with alumni from all class years as we rock the streets around Doyle Circle. This party has multiple options for all ages, a beer tent (must be 21+), a kids’ corner, music, lawn games, and more. There is a set fee to purchase drinks from the beer tent, and food trucks (for individual purchase) will be available.
Cost: $20 for Beer Tent; Food Trucks for individual purchase, Free for all other activities.

1-2-9 Mixer

Hosted by the Young Alumni Committee, all alumni who have graduated in the past 10 years are invited to enjoy an afternoon of fun, food, and camaraderie. Celebrate 129 days after graduation (and the 129th anniversary of Notre Dame) as you reminisce about your experiences at NDMU. Feel free to purchase a drink at the beer tent before you walk over!

  1. Faculty Presenter Session - Science and Religion: Conflict, Independence, Dialogue or Integration?
    Knott 121A-C
    In addition to her chemistry research, Dr. Jocelyn McKeon also has research interests involving exploration of the ways science and religion have related to each other historically. Moreover, Dr. McKeon has had the opportunity to bring these interests into the classroom when teaching the course “Cosmos and Creation” in the Elizabeth Morrissy Honors Program. This presentation will serve as an introduction to that course by utilizing a four-fold typology (conflict, independence, dialogue, and integration) to explore some of the ways in which science and religion have intersected over the past two millennia in the West.

    Whether it’s been a while since you’ve been on campus, or if you’d just like a reorientation, join us for a guided tour from our student leaders. Learn more about the new developments on campus and get the chance to see what it’s like being a Notre Dame student today. This will include a special look into the newly renovated Knott Science and Innovation Center. Note: this is a walking tour that will include hills and stairs. For guests with mobility issues, please reach out to the Alumni Engagement Office.
  3. Meet the Director of Alumni and Constituent Engagement

    The new Director of Alumni and Constituent Engagement, Erin Sturgis DaSilva '02, will be out and about during the Gator Block Party to welcome and meet with any interested alums. 

Paint N’ Sip

Join Art Therapy alum Ana Morris '22 as she leads you through how to paint a spot on campus. Materials will be provided and you will be instructed on how to paint this scenic view. Once you have created your masterpiece, it is yours to take home. Make sure to grab your free drink from the beer tent before walking over! Note: This is a 21+ event.

School of Pharmacy Alumni Reception

Join the School of Pharmacy and spend the evening with friends, faculty, and fellow alumni to reminisce on fond memories and reconnect with your classmates! Attendees are also invited to tour and enjoy the newly renovated Knott Science and Innovation Center and its state-of-the-art upgrades, including the brand-new Knott Lounge. We welcome back all SOP alumni, their families, and friends

Celebrate the culmination of Alumni Weekend! ALL ALUMNI from ALL CLASSES are encouraged to attend this annual tradition which gathers all of our incredible alumni together. We all know Maryland’s crabs are one of a kind! Enjoy traditional Maryland crab picking and BBQ offerings, view a throwback slideshow, and dance the night away to your favorite songs with a live DJ. Children under 10 years old are free to enter.
