- Faculty Presenter Session - Science and Religion: Conflict, Independence, Dialogue or Integration?
Knott 121A-C
In addition to her chemistry research, Dr. Jocelyn McKeon also has research interests involving exploration of the ways science and religion have related to each other historically. Moreover, Dr. McKeon has had the opportunity to bring these interests into the classroom when teaching the course “Cosmos and Creation” in the Elizabeth Morrissy Honors Program. This presentation will serve as an introduction to that course by utilizing a four-fold typology (conflict, independence, dialogue, and integration) to explore some of the ways in which science and religion have intersected over the past two millennia in the West.
