Jingqiong Cui (known as “June” to many of us), is from China and studied in the ELI at NDMU from 2015 to 2016. When we asked her about her experience here at the ELI, she was quite cheerful, and shared happy memories from her time with us. She told us, “I won’t forget about my good experiences here and my ELI family. All the people I met on the campus were so friendly and warm to me that I was able to make a lot of unforgettable international friends in the end.”
We asked her about her most unforgettable moment, and she replied, “One of the most memorable times I had is when MB took us to a local fire station for volunteering.” She also talked with us about how the university campus environment made her feel. “I will always remember the beautiful scenery of this campus. I got a lot of energy from the peacefulness of this environment to keep on studying English.”
By the time June completed her studies at the ELI, she felt the improvement in her language skills, and applied for a graduate program in Education at Towson University. She proudly graduated from Towson this past summer, and is currently looking forward to her next big adventure – employment here in the USA!
Thank you for stopping by for a visit, June! We are so glad to know that you look back on your time with us here in the ELI so fondly. We are also very proud of all you’ve accomplished, and are glad to call you a member of our global community!
