Physician Assistant Jennifer Norris has been a clinically practicing Physician Assistant since graduating with a Master of Physician Assistant studies in 2004. She has been a preceptor, instructor, and adjunct faculty member within several Maryland and Pennsylvania PA programs, as well within EMT programs. She holds a broad range of direct patient care experiences, having worked in general surgery, thoracic surgery, trauma, and most extensively in women’s health.
After transitioning to a full-time PA program faculty position in 2018, Ms. Norris continued to hold a part-time clinical position within a community hospital, thereby continuing to provide care to peri-partum and post-partum mothers. Ms. Norris states, “I am passionate about education and enjoy watching my student’s flourish.” She joined the NDMU PA Program as the Academic Director in August 2021 and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Health Care Education from Eastern Virginia Medical School.
Ms. Norris enjoys spending time with her daughter, Ellie, as well as, reading, learning, shopping, and time at her beach home. Ms. Norris is looking forward to the first class of PA students at Notre Dame of Maryland University.
