As part of its annual Notre Dame Day celebration, Notre Dame of Maryland University will honor the Catholic Archdiocese of Baltimore’s Bishop Denis Madden for his years of service to our community.

On February 6, Notre Dame of Maryland University will be hosting its annual Notre Dame Day celebration. Among the various activities, an interfaith panel discussion led by the Global Solidarity Committee that will share the U.N.’s compassionate message of inclusivity.

Notre Dame's Gormley Gallery presents a new exhibit featuring reproductions of works from Holocaust victims, along with original works created in art therapy sessions. The exhibit coincides with the launch of NDMU’s new undergraduate and graduate degree in art therapy and offers an opportunity for viewers to see the healing power of the creative process.

When Dr. Susan Love first found out that she will serve as Notre Dame of Maryland University’s 2018 Commencement Speaker, she felt extremely honored. “It’s a place that’s very important to my life and that I truly support,” she explains.

“Leadership for women…that’s what this degree is designed to provide,” promises Gemma Wenner, Assistant Professor and Program Director about NDMU’s newest program, the Bachelor of Arts in Leadership in Hospitality and Event Management. “For too long, women have served on the front lines in the hospitality industry, but have not advanced into management roles.”

Gibbons Hall has been officially rededicated. About 80 people from the Notre Dame of Maryland University community came together, with Maryland's Secretary of Higher Education, Jim Fielder, local representatives, students and area dignitaries for the historic rededication during Reunion Weekend, September 15-17.
