Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center provides free 24-hour telephone and walk-in crisis counseling, emergency shelter, transitional housing, and community education in the Central Maryland area. Crisis intervention program services are available to anyone in need 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Professional counseling staff are available to listen, provide support and make referrals on a wide range of issues. Crisis intervention counseling is available by phone or in person for anyone in need of immediate assistance with a personal, situational, or mental health crisis. Services are free and confidential.

The Maryland Psychological Association provides this service as a way for you to find psychologists who are located near you and who may provide the services you want. You may select by county, by ages of clients seen, and by the specialty areas associated with your concerns. You will receive a list of psychologists whose self-described services match your needs. Click on any psychologist’s name to find out more about that psychologist. Many psychologists have Web pages that further describe their services.
