Master of Arts in Art Therapy
The Master of Arts in Art Therapy program at NDMU is the only master’s program preparing graduates to pursue licensure as art therapists in the state of Maryland. Blending theory and methods from both counseling and art psychotherapy, our program includes extensive opportunities for clinical training to meet professional requirements and provide hands-on experience. All courses are led by credentialed, licensed art therapists.
A career as a licensed art therapist can involve helping clients manage behavior and addiction, reduce anxiety, reconcile emotional conflict and much more through the use of art media and the creative process.
