The Anchorage Program promotes the success and involvement of all Women’s College students by connecting them with other NDMU Women’s College students, serving as an additional foundation and connection during the student experience. In line with the University's mission, the Anchorage Program will work toward creating a vibrant, community-oriented environment for all Women's College students in which they will be supported as they develop the skills and knowledge to become our world's upcoming leaders who will transform lives.
Each semester, Anchorage host events to encourage support, advice, mentorship, and community, including an “Anchors Away!: Big Sister Reveal Party” in September.
Little, Big, and Twin Sisters are paired based on:
Transfer students will be able to be paired with other “Big Sisters” and become a “Twin Big” so that they are involved and connected, both to their sister class and their graduating class.
Sister Reveal Party - October
All Women's College students who applied to become a new Sister in the NDMU Anchorage Program will have the opportunity to meet their respective Little, Big, or Twin Sisters through a very exciting surprise activity.
This event is required for all participants in the Anchorage Program in order to have a successful reveal. Light refreshments will be served.
Holiday Celebrations Get-Together - December
All Anchorage Program Sisters will have the opportunity to spend an evening with other Anchorage sisters as we celebrate community and traditional holiday celebrations, including crafts, community outreach projects, and limited edition Anchorage hot cocoa mugs! Light refreshments will be served.
Anchorage Program's Welcome Back Get-Together - January
All Big Sisters and Little Sisters are welcome to join each other in celebration of the start of the new year and spring semester!
This event is a fun-filled evening of crafts, games, and memory-making with special gifts for all Bigs and Littles. Treats will be served.
Accepted Student Overnight Party - March/April
All Big and Little Sisters are invited to decorate t-shirts for June/July Registration Days and get henna tattoos!
This serves as a great time to meet your potential future Anchorage Sisters.
