Housing
On-campus housing is available for full-time graduate and undergraduate students. All full time undergraduate students are required to reside on campus in the residence halls during their freshmen and sophomore years or as specified in their financial aid award letter.
Residence halls are equipped with lounges, kitchenettes, laundry facilities, cable television and internet access.
Residence Halls
Doyle Hall
Doyle is a co-ed residence hall which includes both single and double rooms with communal bathrooms. All rooms have air conditioning.
The building includes kitchens and laundry facilities, and each floor has a lounge and study room.
It is also the location of the University's dining hall, Gator Alley, an interfaith space, and the commuter lounge.

Meletia Hall
Meletia is an all-women residence hall that houses undergraduate students at NDMU. The hall offers air-conditioned single, double, and triple rooms with private, suite, and communal bathrooms.
The residence hall also has several kitchens and multiple lounge spaces throughout the building in addition to a laundry room, as well an interfaith space.
Room Options
*For the 2024-25 Academic Year, all students will be housed in:
- Single Rooms (Doyle and Meletia Hall)
- Double Rooms (Doyle and Meletia Hall)
- Triple Rooms (Meletia ONLY)
Rooms have a twin/twin XL bed, standard twin/twin XL mattress, dresser, desk with chair, and a closet or wardrobe for each student.
Accessible Housing/Accommodation
Students requesting accessible housing or accommodations based on documented disability or medical condition must apply through the Office of Accessibility and Health Promotion in Theresa Hall 009. The housing accommodation application along with appropriate documentation must be submitted to the Director of Accessibility and Health Promotion who works in collaboration with the Director of Housing and Residence Life. Students are encouraged to apply for accommodations as early as possible.
Housing Exemption Request for Academic Year 2024-2025
All full time undergraduate students are required to reside on campus in the residence halls during their freshmen and sophomore year as specified in their financial aid award letter.
A student may submit a housing exemption request to the on campus residence requirement for the reasons below:
- Student resides within 25 miles of NDMU’s campus with their parent(s) or guardian
- Student is twenty one years of age or older
- Student Is married and/or has dependent children
- Student is a military veteran
- Student has a documented medical condition or disability that requires special living arrangements that residential life cannot reasonably provide within the residential living environment
- Student has other extenuating circumstances.
**This housing exemption request is just a request, and a decision will be emailed from Housing and Residence Life.

Non-medical waiver requests (a, b, d) and documentation sufficient to support the request may be submitted to the Director of Housing and Residence Life at residencelife@ndm.edu.
Medical waiver requests (c) and medical documentation sufficient to support the request may be submitted to the Director of Accessibility and Health Promotion at accessibility@ndm.edu.
Approved waivers may be accompanied by a reduction in a student’s institutional financial aid award due to a change to commuter status. Students are encouraged to contact the Office of Financial Aid at finaid@ndm.edu prior to submitting a waiver request to determine their revised financial aid package.
