Baltimore Mayor Catherine E. Pugh to speak at Notre Dame
Each year as part of the Charles J. Busta III Lecture in Business series, Notre Dame brings women leaders in business to campus to share their insights with our community. This year's event will feature Baltimore City Mayor Catherine E. Pugh.

The 2018 Charles J. Busta III Lecture in Business series at Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU) will feature Baltimore City Mayor Catherine E. Pugh.

Prior to being elected mayor, Push served in the Maryland General Assembly as both a Delegate and State Senator. Mayor Pugh’s experience extends beyond the public sector: she holds an MBA from Morgan State University and has worked as a banker, business developer, editor, visionary founder, and more.

Mayor Pugh has been recognized nationally and locally for her leadership. At this year’s Busta Lecture, she will share leadership lessons from her personal and professional journey.

The Busta Lecture series invites speakers who are recognized as experts in their chosen fields, who have made a real difference, overcome significant obstacles, or demonstrated dramatic success. The series serves as a platform for inspiring business leaders, especially women leaders, in order to encourage creativity and personal growth.

Previous speakers include Kathryn Freeland, President/CEO of A-TEK, Inc.; Marin Alsop, Music Director of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra; Rebecca Hoffberger, Director of the American Visionary Art Museum; and Cindy Wolf, Executive Chef of Charleston restaurant and a partner in Foreman Wolf.

This year’s lecture will be held on February 13 at 7:00 p.m. in LeClerc Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged in case of inclement weather.
