Academic enrichment services include individual and small group tutoring to assist students in acquiring a command of a subject. Students may receive assistance with a specific assignment, prepare for an exam, or develop more effective study strategies. Tutoring is available for students enrolled in full and part-time undergraduate programs and is free of charge. Tutoring is provided by appointment in the ACE and Loyola/Notre Dame Library.

The ACE also offers Supplemental Instruction- a program designed to provide on-going peer academic support for students enrolled in courses that have a history of being especially challenging); academic skill workshops and resources; and mentoring and academic support for students on academic probation. The ACE also collaborates with the Counseling and Disability services office to provide support for students with disabilities.

Career enrichment services include individual and small group career advising sessions; career advising for undeclared majors; administration and interpretation of career interest inventories. The ACE also provides career advising and support for students and alumnae seeking internships/experiential learning sites through resume preparation/review; mock interviews; coaching regarding professional appearance and attire. The ACE also provides faculty development, technical assistance, and material support for service-learning at the College. Service learning provides opportunities for students to apply theories learned in class in practical settings.

Students also develop strategies to support informed career decision making and major selection through information interviews with professionals in areas of career interest, career site visits, internships and participation in the ACE annual job fair. The ACE also offers online career development support services including a data base of employers, internship sites and volunteer service sites and linkages to other student communities across the greater Baltimore area through coordination with the Maryland College Consortium (MCC), a network of 11 area private and public colleges and universities, and with the Selected Liberal Arts Consortium (SLAC), a network of 11 area liberal arts institutions.
