The Post-MSN Nurse Administration Certificate program concentrates on developing knowledge and skills critical to be effective managers and patient advocates, especially as health systems face resource constraints and changes in both health care policy and patient care delivery.

This program is available to those already holding a MSN, DNP, or PhD or currently enrolled in a MSN program at NDMU. 

Student Outcomes

As a student in this program, you will be able to:

  1. Explore the role of nurse administrator through a caring science lens.
  2. Develop knowledge and skills required to create effective collaborative systems of healthcare delivery to optimize patient outcomes.
  3. Analyze research, policy, legal, and ethical problems, dynamics of finance, strategic planning, and marketing.
  4. Complete a mentored practicum experience designed to implement innovations that address quality and safe patient care, change management, decision - making, and healthy work environments.

Prerequisite

This 12 credit Post-MSN Certificate in Nursing Administration program is available to students already holding a MSN, DNP, or PhD or currently enrolled in a MSN program at NDMU.
