Visit the Campus

See for Yourself:
Visit Notre Dame

Even on your first visit, our community and campus are sure to make an impression that lasts.

To a large degree, your campus visits will reflect a lot of what it’s like to live, study and have fun here. It starts with our fall or spring open house events, which allow you and your family to get a solid first impression of our campus, programs and people. If and when you’re ready to learn more, an overnight stay at the College will give you a firsthand experience of student life here. With a host student as your personal guide, you’ll have a 24-hour opportunity to stay in a dorm, attend classes, eat in the dining hall, and attend campus activities—just like a Notre Dame student. And when you visit, our admission staff is always on hand to give you any personal help you need with your application process. You can also join us for a Class Visit Decision Day.

Plus, you’re sure to like our location. Notre Dame is situated in a beautiful residential neighborhood of Baltimore, on the crest of gently sloping wooded ridge, punctuated by the ornate landmark tower of Gibbons Hall. Just 15 minutes from the lively cultural and shopping attractions of downtown Baltimore and the Inner Harbor, the College is also a short 25-minute drive from Thurgood Marshall - Baltimore/Washington International Airport (with direct flights into Baltimore from 30 cities and 12 airport hubs) and 10 minutes from Penn Station’s Amtrak service.

In planning your visit, it’s a good idea to plan ahead to assure the best experience. By contacting our office of admissions  at least two days in advance, you can join one of our daily campus tours, or even arrange a private tour and personal interview by appointment. You can also schedule class visits on a monthly basis between October and February (see our Calendar) and overnight visits during the springtime. Saturday visits are also available by appointment.
