Accreditation and Program Approval

The Maryland State Department of Education and MHEC collaborate on the approval of education programs, and the Maryland Board of Nursing and MHEC collaborate on the approval of nursing programs.

Middle States Accreditation

Notre Dame of Maryland University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and degree and certificate programs across the University are approved by the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC).

The next Middle States accreditation site visit is scheduled for April 2017.

Business Programs, within the School of Arts, Sciences, and Business, are currently seeking special accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
